EXPENSIVE CELLPHONES VS BUDGET CELLPHONES(FLAGSHIPS OF DIFFERENT COMPANIES)[UPDATED]

Every day you look at the news, there is some new mobile device launched by companies that you may or may not know. At present, there are more than 30 mobile brands in India, and new players are continuously launching their smartphones at a reasonable price. In this dense forest of cellphones, picking the best cellphone for you is no child's play. To help you in buying cellphones, I have compiled a short list of points to consider before buying a cellphone. In this post, I am going to tell you the difference between flagships from companies like Micromax, Gionee, Lava etc. and Samsung, Sony, LG etc.

Basically I am going to help decide whether to spend the extra money on flagships(top of  the line cellphone i.e. the best cellphone a company has to offer) from Samsung and other worldwide brand, a price at which you could buy two cellphone or more from local brands.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FLAGSHIPS:

So, first of all you need to know a little bit about processors which would eventually help you understand the difference better.
Supposing that you have read the above topic, I would not go it explaining every term again.
I would specifically be taking the quad-core devices launched recently by almost all companies. There are quite a few reasons for such a huge price difference between the two, some of which are given below:
First thing to know about the budget friendly quad-core devices is that, they are based on the Cortex-A7 architecture which is relatively older as compared to the expensive flagships which have quad-core chipsets based on the Cortex-A11 or even Cortex-A15. The difference is imminent in the hardware benchmark applications. You would notice a significant difference in performance when you compare both types of handsets with one another. This is because of the fact mentioned above. You would also notice that the gaming performance of the two types of cellphones are miles apart. This is because the costlier phones have a better graphics processor, in general, compared to the cheaper phones.
Secondlywhen you compare the build quality of these with the build quality of a 30,000(or above) cellphone, you would immediately notice the difference. The expensive flagships are build in a way that differs them from these budget friendly flagships. The build quality and materials used are top-notch and the overall fell of the devices are much better. You won't find a cellphone having a unibody aluminium design in a flagship smartphone falling under the sub-15k price range. Ofcourse, this is not always true as in the case of Samsung which makes all it's phones with plastic, but the quality of manufacturing is top-notch. There are some budget friendly flagships which are coming with good build quality like the Gionee Dream D1, the Celkon A119 Signature HD(the dual-core one. The quad core one doesn't have such a good build quality as it's predecessor), but these are in a rarity and due to these, the difference in build quality comes at second place and not at the first.
Thirdly, the expensive flagships have a customised software put on top of android. The software is really optimised for the phones hardware which let's the phone run seamlessly and even add features which really complete the smartphone experience.
Last but certainly not the least, the service network. The companies like Samsung, Sony etc. have got a vast number of service centres spread across the county. They have got a good and speedy service record and just don't sell their products and forget. They keep their customers happy and give provide a good overall user experience. Most of the companies in the budget friendly region have very less customer service centres and the experience isn't that great either. Don't get me wrong, these companies are trying really hard to provide a good user experience, it's just that they are new companies and thus don't have such a developed service network(General overview, not applicable to all companies).

Having said all the above, the main thing that you need to consider is that What do you need? If you are not a power user, then these budget-friendly cellphones would perform in the same way that a costly phone would have done for you. Also they provide a stock type of user interface which some may like, others might not. So, you need to sort your priorities, that's the most important thing.
My advice is that just use the cellphones and consider these points before going to buy a cellphone. I hope this info helps. If you have any query about which cellphone to buy then you could ask me.
