This post deals with an app called "Light Flow". This application is a really useful application which gives you control over your phone's LED notification light. It allows you to customise your cellphone's notifications as you like. Light Flow enables you to set different notification light and sound for your different notifications. It gives a good amount of customization options so that it becomes easier for you to know what notification you have got. The app comes in two varients, one is the paid version which costs Rs 150 and other being the free version known as the Light Flow Lite.
Below is the complete set of features present in the "Lite" version of the app.
In the notification tab, there are many applications apart from the native phone apps that you can choose from. Apps like Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp etc. are all present in the list to choose from.
There is a priority tab which lets you choose which notification should have higher priority than the other. You can also choose a number of blinks after which the notification light changes to show a different notification.
The app also offers a sleep mode in which it turns off the notification lights and sounds so that the phone does not disturb you.
The app offers a variety of colours to choose. It lets you choose a different colour for different notifications so it is easy to recognise the notification. Though this feature is only available if your phone supports multiple light LED notification.
You can set different settings like the duration of the LED light and also its flash rate.
The app also offers different functionality like setting different setting for notification when on the battery than when on charging. It has different setting for certain HTC and Samsung phones which might require root access. All these and more settings can be found under the settings tab in the app itself.
One more standout feature of the app is that it supports certain smart watches like the Sony smartwatch 2. This would allow it to push notifications to your smartwatch as well.
